Idea 2 April, 2016  – Reflection on a Wedding
And not just any wedding…Rebekah Widmer’s Wedding!

Three Word Wednesday #473:  Required Words:  Elated, Flicker, Halting

The day finally arrived -
March 27, 2016
Easter Sunday
Rocklin Event Center
3:00 p.m. -
though it was all over too quickly.

tables clothed
settings set
salads tossed
soup bubbled
bubbly chilled
M&M’s poured
camera click

snacks
notes
nails
hair
gowns
tuxedos
flowers
sand
smiles
laughter
goats

elated parents stroll the aisle
attendants take their places
flower girls pouted, tossing petals
the groom awaits –
the flicker of desire in his eyes
the bride arrives in “the dress”
         radiant and ravishing

Guest book, pen
Our Father…Amen!

Nothing’s amis!
This altar, that kiss!

They said “I do”!
We say “Wah Hoo!”

Everyone exits
to the party,
including Grannie,
walking with halting steps.
